Dear Hobby Sparks Families,

We hope you had a restful and enjoyable spring break! As we return to school, we are excited to continue our journey together and look forward to the opportunities and experiences that the remainder of the school year will bring.

To our students: We couldn’t be more excited to see your energy, enthusiasm, and determination as we dived back into learning!

To our parents: Thank you for your continued support. Together, we’ll make the most of the time left in this school year, focusing on growth and success for all of our students. I really enjoyed celebrating you all this week. An parent appreciation breakfast was the least we could do for all your hard work and dedication,

Here’s to a wonderful start to the final stretch of the year!

SAFE

Sparks make safe choices for self, relationships, and school. If we are unsafe, all other core values are in jeopardy, so we make safety our foundation.

Make Sure Your Emergency Contacts Are Up to Date!

Now is the perfect time to review and update your contact information in Skyward to ensure we can reach you when needed. Please confirm that at least two approved emergency contacts are listed—these individuals will be authorized to pick up your child if necessary.

Log in to Skyward today to verify your details. If any updates are needed, notify your campus registrar as soon as possible.

For questions or assistance, contact your school’s front office. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and supported!

Student Clothing Drive

Spills & accidents happen. Help us keep our student in class! Students have spent an average of 2 hours outside of their classroom waiting for a family member to bring a change of clothes. As always, we recommend having a spare pair in their backpack.

πŸ“’ Attention Hobby Sparks Families!

Some of our 2nd grade students will be taking the TELPAS test on March 18th & 20th.  This is an important assessment that helps measure their progress in learning the English language.

To help them do their very best, please make sure they:

Get a good night's sleep the night before.

Eat a healthy breakfast to fuel their brains.

Arrive on time and ready to focus!

Your support makes a difference! Let’s set our students up for success!

On Friday, March 21, 2025, we will join the world in celebrating World Down Syndrome Day, a day to honor and raise awareness for individuals with Down syndrome. This day serves as an opportunity to acknowledge the unique abilities, talents, and contributions of those with Down syndrome, and to promote inclusion and respect in our community.

To show our support, students are encouraged to wear creative socks on Friday, in recognition of the students with Down syndrome. It’s a fun and simple way for everyone to participate and demonstrate solidarity.

Let’s continue to embrace and support all of our students, recognizing the value each individual brings to our school. We encourage you to take a moment today to reflect on the importance of fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming space for all students.
