Dear Hobby Elementary Families,

One of the things that continues to make our school community stronger is the partnership we are building with you. We have been so excited to see how many of our families are looking for ways to get involved, stay connected, and be part of what is happening at Hobby.

Whether you are attending a campus event, communicating with your child’s teacher, volunteering, participating in a family meeting, or simply asking how you can support at home, your involvement matters. When our students see their families and their school working together, they know that we are all on the same team supporting their success.

As we continue through the year, we want to keep creating opportunities for you to connect with us and with one another. Thank you to everyone who has already shown up, reached out, and asked how you can be involved. We are excited to continue growing these partnerships and building an even stronger Hobby community together.

Staff of the Week

A very special shoutout to Mrs. Cavazos for the many ways she continues to support Team Hobby. Lisa is someone who sees a need and steps in, often without being asked. Whether she is filling in for a classroom, assisting a teacher, or supporting wherever the campus needs her most, she brings skill, dependability, and a willingness to help that makes a difference for all of us.

 

Most recently, Lisa took the time to help transform and organize our book room, creating a space that is more functional and useful for storing our materials. It is one example of the care she puts into our campus. 

 

Lisa, thank you for being someone we can count on and for always being willing to contribute wherever you are needed. Your work matters, it is noticed, and Team Hobby is better because you are part of it!

 

 

 

Mini Aviator Families,

Join us for a fun evening at Chuck E. Cheese Tomorrow Friday, September 11 from 3:00–9:00 PM! Bring the family out for games, food, and a chance to spend time with our Hobby Elementary community.

25% of qualifying sales will be donated directly back to Hobby Elementary! Funds raised help us support our students, staff, campus events, and other school needs throughout the year.

🐭 Special surprise: Chuck E. will be visiting Hobby Elementary during dismissal that day to get our Mini Aviators excited for the evening!

The Coupon Flyer will be sent home Today before the event so students will not lose the flyer, and attached will be free 10-play points!

Please help us make this fundraiser a success by sharing with family and friends and joining us on September 11! We can’t wait to see you there

We are excited to welcome our Mini Aviator grandparents for Grandparent Lunches tomorrow, Friday, September 11! 👵🏽👴🏽

🚗 Parking:
Parking will be available on the dismissal side of the campus, near the playground. Please follow all parking directions when arriving.

🚪 Check-In:
Grandparents will check in at the blue side doors located on the dismissal side of the building.

To help us keep check-in moving quickly and smoothly, please:

• Form a single-file line at the blue doors.
• Have your physical photo ID or passport out and ready before reaching the check-in table.
• Arrive 10–15 minutes before your student’s scheduled lunch time to allow time for parking and check-in.
• Remember, there is a limit of 4 grandparents per student.

We are expecting many visitors, so having IDs ready and following the check-in line will help us keep everything organized and get grandparents to their Mini Aviators as quickly as possible.

If you have questions about the evaluation process or would like to make a request, please feel free to email me directly at jo02@yesprep.org . I can help ensure your concerns are shared with the appropriate campus team and provide information about the next steps in the process.

Our goal is to make sure families feel informed, supported, and know who to contact when they have concerns about their child.
